New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Indian Grandmaster Praggnanand Rameshbabu for winning the Norway Chess 2026 title. PM Modi congratulated Pragyanand in a post on social media on Saturday, saying that this is indeed an amazing achievement which shows his consistently excellent performance. PM Modi also wished him all the best for his future endeavours.
The Prime Minister said, “Congratulations to Praggnanandhaa on this wonderful achievement! This is indeed a wonderful achievement which reflects his consistently excellent performance. My best wishes to him for his future endeavours.”
It is noteworthy that Pragyanand Rameshbabu won the Norway Chess 2026 title by winning the last round. He achieved this historic feat by defeating Germany’s Vincent Keimer in the classical format in the final and 10th round.
