Maruti Suzuki is India’s largest car manufacturer. It has a variety of car models spread across different segments. Like most brands, Maruti also keeps updating its existing models and launching new and interesting products to ensure it retains customer interest and market share. Maruti recently unveiled the Flex Fuel WagonR in the market, and apart from that, here is a list of four upcoming Maruti cars for India.
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is one of the most popular SUVs in its segment, and it will soon receive a facelift. Test mules have been spotted during road tests over the last few months. Reports indicate that Maruti Suzuki will launch the updated SUV in the coming months.
The exterior design is not expected to change drastically, but Maruti Suzuki may add new bumpers, updated fog lamp housings, and fresh alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin is expected to receive several noticeable upgrades, including a larger touchscreen infotainment system borrowed from the premium Victoris, an updated instrument cluster, front ventilated seats, wireless charging, and ambient lighting.
The most significant change is expected under the hood. The current version uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine and also offers a CNG option. However, reports suggest it may switch to the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine from the Fronx. This smaller engine could allow the SUV to qualify for a lower 18 percent GST rate instead of the current 40 percent rate.
It could also feature a 6-speed manual gearbox and a space-saving underbody CNG tank. The current Brezza is priced between ₹8.25 lakh and ₹13.01 lakh, but the facelifted version is expected to see a slight price increase.
The Fronx has been a massive success for Maruti Suzuki since its launch. Maruti is now working on a major update for this crossover. Recent test mules seen on Indian roads suggest that the updated version will get redesigned front and rear bumpers, new LED headlamps and tail lamps, and a fresh set of alloy wheels.

The cabin is expected to offer more features, such as ventilated seats, a larger touchscreen, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The most exciting addition is a new strong-hybrid powertrain, confirmed by “Hybrid” badges and roof-mounted sensors seen on test vehicles. This setup will use a 1.2-litre petrol engine solely as a generator to power an electric motor that drives the wheels.
The new hybrid system is expected to make the Fronx extremely fuel-efficient, with a claimed efficiency of around 35 kmpl. Maruti is also working on a Flex Fuel variant that can run on E85 fuel. It is expected to be launched around the festive season this year.
The Grand Vitara is also set to receive a much-needed facelift as part of its lifecycle update. The SUV is expected to arrive around the festive season and will feature a redesigned front grille, new bumpers, updated LED lighting, and fresh 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, it is expected to come with a larger 10.1-inch infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and Level 2 ADAS safety technology, including adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking. It will continue to draw power from the same 1.5-litre engine with mild-hybrid, strong-hybrid, and CNG options.
Maruti Suzuki is also said to be working on a new flagship 7-seater SUV based on the Grand Vitara. Internally known as the Y17, this larger SUV has already been spotted testing.

The SUV will feature a longer wheelbase and an extended rear section to accommodate a third row of seats. The rear design will be shaped differently to free up more space for third-row passengers.
It is expected to come loaded with premium features such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, a wireless charger, a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, six standard airbags, and Level 2 ADAS.
The SUV will share the same mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid petrol engines as the standard Grand Vitara. It is expected to be launched around the festive season this year.
