Indian badminton sensation PV Sindhu was also present as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) successfully defended their IPL title with a memorable win over Gujarat Titans in the final of IPL 2026.
The two-time Olympic medallist congratulated the franchise, players, management and ardent supporters after RCB sealed the title with a five wicket victory against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 31.
The win proved to be another major accomplishment for the Bangalore based franchise which has undergone a drastic transformation in recent years. From being notorious for chocking in high-pressure games RCB has now established itself as the strongest side with back to back titles.
Sindhu also entertained the fans by her tongue-in-cheek Instagram post in which she joked about RCB winning trophies ever since she shifted base to Bangalore.
Sindhu wrote in an Instagram post :
"RCB fans, I am not saying that I am the lucky charm. But, I have moved to Bangalore and suddenly, you have won the trophy every year since. Do the maths,"

A disappointed yet excited fan of Hyderabad, Sindhu added :
"Of course, a Hyderabad vs RCB final would have been the dream. SRH vs RCB would have emotionally destroyed all of us in the best way. But Bangalore, you deserved this. After years of heartbreak. Back-to-back champions."
While RCB celebrated their second title in a row their skipper Rajat Patidar played a pivotal role in their success. Patidar became just the third captain after MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma to defend an IPL title.
The skipper impressed as captain as well as a batter, throughout the season. He scored 501 runs in 15 matches at a remarkable average of 41.75 and a strike rate of 192.69. He also smashed 93 runs from just 33 balls in Qualifier 1 against Gujarat Titans.
The spectacular rise of the Bangalore-based franchise continues to impress fans worldwide as they clinch another IPL title with stars from various Indian sports showering praise on their recent achievements.
