UPPSC APS-2026 Result: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the results for the 2023 Additional Private Secretary (APS) examination—a result that has left everyone astonished. Thousands of candidates appeared for the examination to fill 331 vacancies; however, not a single candidate managed to reach the final stage. All candidates failed the final stage: the Hindi Shorthand test. Ultimately, the outcome was that all 331 seats remained vacant.
According to reports, there is typically a great deal of enthusiasm surrounding the recruitment for the post of Additional Private Secretary (APS). Every year, aspirants eagerly await this examination, dreaming of becoming high-ranking officials. The notification for this examination, conducted by the UPPSC, was issued in 2023. Candidates participated enthusiastically in their bid to secure this job, submitting a massive number of applications. The first stage of the examination was held on January 7, 2024, followed by the declaration of results on March 4, 2024.
**Unable to Pass Shorthand Test**
Following the first stage, 5,889 candidates were shortlisted for the second stage of the examination. The second stage was conducted in Lucknow between June 28, 2024, and July 18, 2024. This second stage was critical, as it required candidates to pass the Hindi Shorthand test. The test mandated achieving a minimum speed of 80 words per minute. Not only was speed essential, but accuracy was equally vital; however, not a single candidate was able to meet these required standards.
**Not a Single Candidate Passed**
Consequently, no candidate was declared successful for the third stage of the examination, and all 331 vacant posts have been carried forward to the next recruitment cycle. Girijesh Kumar Tyagi, the Secretary of the Commission, confirmed this development. He stated that the Commission took this decision while strictly upholding the rigorous standards of the examination process. The Shorthand examination will be conducted again, and the Commission is expected to announce the dates shortly. Stages of the Additional Private Secretary Recruitment Examination
