Lucknow, Read: CID has arrested three shooters in the murder case of West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari. One shooter is from Ballia in UP and two are from Buxar in Bihar. The police have taken all three shooters to Bengal. It is believed that a lot of information may come out from the accused during interrogation.

Police and intelligence agencies involved in uncovering the Chandranath Rath murder case have reached the accused through a payment made by them at the toll plaza. It is said that an accused had made the payment through UPI at the toll plaza. Through the same link, Bengal Police has first reached Bihar and UP.

Shooters named Mayank Raj Mishra and Vicky Maurya have been caught from Buxar district of Bihar. Raj Singh has been arrested from Ballia, UP. The facts of Raj Singh staying mostly in Buxar are also coming to light. After interrogation in the presence of local police, the police arrested all three and took them to Bengal.

Chandranath Rath was the personal assistant to Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari. On May 6, unknown assailants chased his car and shot him with bullets in Kolkata.

This incident came to light just after the BJP’s landslide victory in the Bengal elections, which shook the politics and law and order situation of Bengal.

Suvendu Adhikari was also seen crying bitterly with Chandranath’s family. Now that Suvendu Adhikari has become the Chief Minister of Bengal, the investigation into this murder has gained momentum and three suspected accused have been arrested.
