On Friday, Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision aimed at enhancing India's sports framework. He shared multiple posts on social media that highlighted the government's dedication to fostering international collaborations, athlete development, and preparations for significant global sporting events.

Mandaviya posted videos on X showcasing PM Modi's address in Jind, Haryana, where he discussed India's increasing cooperation with Australia and New Zealand in sports. "India will collaborate with Australia and New Zealand across various sectors, including the sports industry and athlete training," Mandaviya quoted PM Modi.

In his address, PM Modi mentioned, "I have engaged in comprehensive discussions with the governments of Australia and New Zealand regarding sports. We will soon collaborate on numerous aspects, including the sports industry and player training, which will greatly benefit the youth of Haryana."

Additionally, Mandaviya shared another video stating, "India is set to host the Commonwealth Games in 2030, and we are also fully preparing for the Olympic Games in 2036."

The Sports Minister reiterated PM Modi's focus on sports as a vital component of nation-building, stating, "Sports in India are being developed as a significant medium for fitness and employment."

The Prime Minister's comments were made during a busy schedule, which included flagging off India's inaugural hydrogen-powered train from Jind in Haryana. He then traveled to Chandigarh and Punjab, where he addressed a gathering in Jalandhar after inaugurating and laying the foundation for rail and road infrastructure projects worth over Rs 5,470 crore.

In Jalandhar, PM Modi encouraged the local youth to leverage the growing sports ecosystem, emphasizing the Centre's Khelo India initiatives and recognizing Jalandhar's sports manufacturing sector as a crucial element of India's developing sports economy.

Earlier this month, PM Modi embarked on a three-nation tour that included visits to Australia and New Zealand, where sports cooperation was a key focus. During his time in Australia, India and Australia unveiled a roadmap for collaboration in athlete training, sports science, sports technology, and investment in the sports industry, alongside plans for an India-Australia Youth Sports Festival.

In New Zealand, PM Modi attended a sports innovation showcase in Auckland that centered on high-performance training and sports technology. The government is optimistic that these partnerships will bolster India's sports ecosystem as the nation gears up to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games and advances its bid for the 2036 Olympic Games.
