As we told you through many of our articles the Central Government and State Governments run various types of schemes for the economically weaker people of their country, which aim to help and uplift these people, in such a situation, the government has started many welfare schemes to uplift women economically and socially. One such initiative is the provision of subsidy on LPG cylinders, which aims to reduce the financial burden on women of economically weaker sections, let's know about them-
LPG Cylinder Subsidy for Women
Do you know that the government provides a subsidy of ₹ 300 on LPG cylinders for women? While the current market price of a standard gas cylinder is ₹ 803, eligible women can buy it for just ₹ 503 thanks to this subsidy.
It is important to note that this subsidy is not available everywhere. To avail of the ₹ 300 LPG subsidy, certain criteria have to be met. Specifically, this subsidy is reserved for women whose names are linked with the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY). If you are eligible, this scheme is a valuable opportunity to reduce household expenses - so don't miss it!
There are certain conditions to be taken care of. Free gas cylinders will be available only to those beneficiaries who already have an LPG connection in their name. Also, only one member of a family will get the benefit of this scheme.
Under this scheme, three gas cylinders of 14.2 kg are being given, which can be easily obtained by eligible women. It is important to note that ration card holders issued after July 1, 2024, will not be eligible for this benefit. The subsidy amount of Rs 300 will be transferred directly to the beneficiary's account, allowing them to withdraw and use the money whenever needed.
