EPFO Doubles Withdrawal Limit For Medical Treatment To Rs 1 Lakh; Here's How To Claim

New Delhi: In a piece of good news for EPFO account holders, the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has doubled the existing eligibility limit for medical emergencies from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh. The EPFO has increased the fund for medical emergencies under paragraph 68J of Form 31 under the EPFO rules. The changes made by the world’s largest social security organisation will be effective immediately, and therefore, subscribers can now claim up to Rs 1 lakh for medical treatment expenses, which was earlier Rs 50,000.
