Mumbai: Clarity has finally emerged regarding rumours that multilingual actress Sreeleela is dating cricketer Tilak Varma.

A Reddit post claiming that the actress, who is busy with South Indian films, was in a relationship with the cricketer had gone viral on social media.

The actress’ team has now officially responded to the speculation.

According to the clarification issued by Sreeleela’s team, the rumours linking her with Tilak Varma are completely false and baseless.

“The rumours surrounding Tilak Varma and Sreeleela are entirely baseless and untrue. The two have never interacted. There is absolutely no truth in these speculations, and such fabricated stories should not be circulated without any factual basis,” the team stated.

The team also urged media platforms and social media users to refrain from spreading unverified information and to act responsibly while reporting on personal matters.

How did the rumour begin?
A video clip involving Team India star batter Suryakumar Yadav became the reason behind the rumours going viral.

In the clip circulating on Reddit, Instagram and X, Tilak Varma is seen walking through a hotel lobby wearing earphones. At that moment, Suryakumar Yadav is heard jokingly saying, “Tilak is in love,” teasing the young cricketer. This light-hearted moment soon sparked widespread discussion among fans online.
