Beltangady: A woman was killed on the spot while her husband and son sustained serious injuries in a road accident involving a car and a motorcycle near the entrance of Odilu temple in Padangady village.
The deceased has been identified as Shailaja of Balanja.
Her husband, progressive farmer Anil Bhat of Anil Farm, Balanja, and their son suffered serious injuries in the accident.
According to reports, Anil Bhat was travelling on a motorcycle along with his wife Shailaja and son on the Venoor road when the accident occurred. A car coming from the Venoor side reportedly collided with their motorcycle near the Odilu temple gate.
The injured Anil Bhat and his son were admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Beltangady police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
