India’s leading digital payments platform Paytm has launched ‘Paytm Pocket Money’, a new feature designed to help teenagers make secure UPI payments without needing their own bank account. The feature allows parents and trusted family members to provide controlled digital spending access with real-time payment tracking and customizable spending limits.
The new offering is built on NPCI’s UPI Circle framework and aims to bring teenagers into India’s fast-growing digital payments ecosystem in a safe and supervised manner.
What is Paytm Pocket Money?
Paytm Pocket Money enables teenagers to make Paytm UPI payments directly from their smartphones for everyday expenses such as school and college canteens, metro rides, cab bookings, mobile recharges, shopping, and more.
Until now, many teenagers relied on cash or had to use their parents’ phones for digital payments. With this feature, teenagers can independently make payments while parents maintain complete visibility and control over spending.
Key Features of Paytm Pocket Money
Parents or trusted family members can:
- Invite teenagers through UPI Circle by NPCI
- Set monthly spending limits
- Track payments in real time
- Modify limits anytime instantly
- Revoke access whenever needed
Teenagers can:
- Make secure Paytm UPI payments using their own phone
- Pay across millions of online and offline merchants

Paytm Spend Summary for Better Expense Tracking
One of the standout features of Paytm Pocket Money is its integration with Paytm Spend Summary. Every transaction is automatically categorized, helping families monitor expenses, manage allowances effectively, and encourage disciplined money habits among teenagers.
Parents can view the complete payment history directly within the Paytm app.
