After the cabinet expansion of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh, the first cabinet meeting of the new government is going to be held on Monday, May 18. In fact, just before this important meeting, there is a strong possibility that the new ministers will get their portfolios divided. This division can happen today, so that the new ministers can attend the meeting after understanding their responsibilities.
According to the information, this cabinet meeting will be held at the Chief Minister’s residence. Along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, all the cabinet ministers will also attend this meeting of the Council of Ministers, which will start from 9:45 am and continue till 10:45 am. This meeting will be the first meeting after the cabinet expansion, due to which many meanings are being inferred from it.
New ministers can be allotted their departments
According to information received from sources, the new ministers can be allotted their departments even before the Yogi cabinet meeting tomorrow. Sources claim that these ministers will be handed over the responsibilities of their departments today itself. Only after division of departments, the new ministers will be able to participate in the cabinet meeting with their preparations. This will ensure that they are able to effectively participate in the discussions and decisions taken in the meeting.
The cabinet expansion was completed last Sunday
It is noteworthy that the cabinet expansion of Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh was completed on Sunday, May 10. This expansion came after several days of speculation. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers in a dignified ceremony held at Jan Bhavan. Before this expansion, there were many vacant posts in the cabinet, which have been filled.
These six new faces got place
In fact, the six new faces who have got a place in the Yogi cabinet include the names of Bhupendra Chaudhary, Manoj Pandey, Surendra Diler, Kailash Rajupat, Krishna Paswan and Hansraj Vishwakarma. All these leaders have taken oath as ministers with full devotion. Along with this, in this cabinet expansion, two other ministers, Somendr Tomar and Ajit Pal have also got promotion, which has increased their stature.
The political implications of this cabinet expansion are also being deeply explored. Political experts believe that the Bharatiya Janata Party has tried its best to solve the caste equations of the state through this cabinet expansion of the Yogi government. This cabinet expansion is considered very important for BJP before the assembly elections to be held in the year 2027, as it is an indication of the upcoming strategy of the party.
The party is not only trying to establish ethnic and regional balance through this expansion, but is also seriously working on the strategy of cultivating the leaders of the organization and allied parties. This step is being considered an important part of BJP’s future election preparations, so that the party can further strengthen its hold in the state.
