Tezzbuzz Desk- The Supreme Court has given a big blow to former MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar by giving a big verdict in the Unnao rape case. The apex court has quashed the order of the Delhi High Court which had granted him interim bail while suspending his life imprisonment.

This case is to the famous Unnao rape case of 2017, in which Kuldeep Singh Sengar was convicted in 2019 and sentenced to life imprisonment. Recently, Delhi High Court had given him interim relief by suspending the sentence, against which the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had approached the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court had already stayed the High Court order and now in the final hearing, that order has been completely canceled. This decision of the court is being considered an important step towards strengthening the judicial process in the case.

The bench of Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi, while hearing the case, has directed the Delhi High Court to reconsider the case independently and review all the aspects. The Supreme Court also made it clear that the High Court should take a new decision without being influenced by this decision.

This decision of the apex court is being considered important in the direction of justice for the victim, because this case has been a topic of discussion across the country for a long time.
