OMR system became the root of controversy, now NEET UG exam will shift to CBT mode

The Education Minister said that the biggest reason for this entire controversy was the OMR based examination system. For this reason, the government has decided that from next year NEET UG will be conducted in online CBT mode, so that the activities of paper leaks, fraud and examination mafia can be stopped. The government believes that the digital exam system will strengthen the security of question papers and the examination process can be monitored more.

Complaint of NEET UG paper leak received on May 7, leak confirmed in investigation

According to the Union Education Ministry, a few days after the exam was conducted, NTA received a complaint that some of the so-called guess papers contained the same questions as were asked in the actual exam. After this, the Higher Education Department immediately started an investigation. The investigation proceeded with the help of state agencies and the central investigation machinery and by May 12 it became clear that the real question paper was leaked in the name of Guess paper. The government said that it was necessary to take strict decisions so that the future of any deserving student is not affected.

NEET UG re-exam will be held on June 21, NTA released new date

Amidst the controversy and protest, NTA has now announced the new date for NEET UG re-exam. The re-examination will be conducted on Sunday, June 21. After this decision, a new discussion has started among lakhs of students. A section is justifying the decision of re-examination, while many students are also angry about the mental pressure and additional burden of preparation.

Long fight against exam mafia: Government

Dharmendra Pradhan said that the government has zero tolerance policy towards malpractice and this is a long fight against the examination mafia. He also said that a lot of misleading information is being spread on social media, which has created confusion among students and parents. Considering the seriousness of the case, the investigation has now been handed over to CBI. The government claims that the investigating agencies are trying to reach the entire network and the source of the leak.
