Police has got a big success in the murder case of Chandranath Rath, personal assistant (PA) of Bengal CM Subhendu Adhikari. In this case, STF of Bengal Police has arrested three miscreants.

A history-sheeter is also included among the arrested criminals. According to information received from police sources, arrests have been made from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. West Bengal Police will release the entire case in some time by issuing a press note. It is known that Shubhendu Adhikari's PA Chandranath Rath was brutally shot dead in 24 Parganas district on the night of 6th May.

History-sheeter named Vishal Srivastava arrested from Buxar, Bihar

According to the information received, West Bengal STF has arrested a history-sheeter named Vishal Srivastava from Buxar district of Bihar in the case of firing on Shubhendu Adhikari's PA. Vishal Srivastava was detained from Mufassil Police Station of Buxar with the help of Bihar Police. Vishal Srivastava was caught from Pande Patti village of Buxar.

Vishal Srivastava has more than 15 criminal cases against him

Vishal Srivastava had more than 15 criminal cases registered against him, including cases of murder, robbery and dacoity. Vishal Srivastava was also a suspect in the murder case of Chandra Nath Rath, personal assistant (PA) to Bengal Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari. These raids were carried out in coordination with Bihar Police, Buxar Police and Bihar STF. West Bengal STF has taken Vishal Srivastava back to Kolkata.

Ballia's Raj Singh and Mayank arrested

The remaining two accused have been identified as Raj Singh and Mayank. Raj Singh is a resident of Ballia. Although he lived in Buxar only. After the incident, Raj Singh was hiding in Ayodhya. Raj Singh was arrested after a joint operation between Kolkata Police and Ayodhya Police.

Bengal Police will reveal in PC

It has been revealed about the arrested Raj Singh that he was involved in the conspiracy to murder Chandranath Rath. However, it is not yet clear whether these people themselves fired the bullets or got them fired by a shooter. At present, West Bengal Police will inform in some time.

UPI payment was done at Howrah toll plaza

It is known that the investigators in the murder case of Subhendu Adhikari's associate Chandranath Rath have found an important clue in the form of UPI payment allegedly made by the attackers at a toll plaza in Howrah. An official gave this information on Sunday.

A suspect's mobile number was identified through this UPI payment.

The officer said the car allegedly used in the murder had passed through the Bally toll plaza shortly before the attack and the occupants had paid the toll through UPI. "The UPI payment helped investigators identify a mobile number linked to one of the suspects," he said. Pictures of the vehicle and the people in it have also been recorded in the CCTV footage of the toll plaza.

The attackers left their car and ran away

According to the police, Rath's SUV was stopped by a 'silver' colored car near his house, after which armed men riding on two-wheelers opened fire at him from close range. After the attack, the attackers left the car and fled in a red car and motorcycle. Later, two motorcycles used in the crime were recovered, one near the incident site and the other in Barasat, about six kilometers away.

Austrian made Glock 47X pistol was used

CID and STF have jointly formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate this case. Investigators have identified the weapon allegedly used in the murder as an Austrian-made Glock 47X pistol, a sophisticated weapon whose use has raised concerns among both state and central intelligence agencies.
