History-sheeter named Vishal Srivastava arrested from Buxar, Bihar
According to the information received, West Bengal STF has arrested a history-sheeter named Vishal Srivastava from Buxar district of Bihar in the case of firing on Shubhendu Adhikari's PA. Vishal Srivastava was detained from Mufassil Police Station of Buxar with the help of Bihar Police. Vishal Srivastava was caught from Pande Patti village of Buxar.

Vishal Srivastava had more than 15 criminal cases registered against him, including cases of murder, robbery and dacoity. Vishal Srivastava was also a suspect in the murder case of Chandra Nath Rath, personal assistant (PA) to Bengal Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari. Ballia's Raj Singh and Mayank arrested

The attackers left their car and ran away
According to the police, Rath's SUV was stopped by a 'silver' colored car near his house, after which armed men riding on two-wheelers opened fire at him from close range.
