Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced a voluntary recall for its Honda CB1000 Hornet SP superbike. The company has taken this decision as some of the bikes manufactured between 30th September 2024 and 22nd August 2025 were found to have technical problems. The company has said that there was an error in the routing of the fuel feed hose as well as irregularity in the oil consumption in the engine.

As these faults can affect the bike’s performance, HMSI will be running a free inspection and repair campaign at authorized Bigwing topline dealerships across the country. If necessary, the fuel hose design will be repaired and some engine parts will be replaced. Interestingly, this entire service will be available free of cost to the customers, irrespective of whether the vehicle is under warranty or not.

The company will inform the concerned customers through call, e-mail or SMS. It is also advised to book a service appointment before going to the dealership. Customers can check whether their bike is covered by the recall campaign by entering the VIN number on the company’s official website.

The Honda CB1000 Hornet SP is powered by a 999cc inline four-cylinder engine that produces 155 bhp of power and 107 Nm of torque. It comes with premium features like slipper clutch, bi-directional quick-shifter, Honda Selectable Torque Control and five riding modes.

For safety, the bike gets Brembo radial-mount calipers with 310mm dual disc brakes at the front and 240mm disc brake at the rear. A dual-channel ABS feature is also available. The ex-showroom price of this superbike in the Indian market is around Rs 13.29 lakh.
