How did Phil Salt get hurt?
Phil Salt has an injured finger on his left hand. He suffered this injury during the sixth over of the match against Delhi Capitals played on April 18, when he was trying to stop the ball by diving while fielding at the boundary. On the request of the England cricket team management, Phil Salt was called to England for a scan of the injury. Phil Salt was in tremendous form. Before the injury in IPL 2026, he had scored 202 runs in 6 matches played.
Difficult to play salt against MI
It is looking difficult for Phil Salt to play against Mumbai Indians. In such a situation, Jacob Bethel may get another chance to prove himself, at present, instead of Salt, Bethel is handling the responsibility of opening with Virat. Jacob Bethel has so far scored just 43 runs in 4 innings of 4 matches.
