Shubman Gill and Rashid Khan made sure Gujarat Titans' crushing win over Rajasthan Royals did not end on the field alone.
Hours after GT hammered RR by 77 runs in Jaipur, Gill took to social media with a cheeky post aimed directly at the Royals after beating them in their own backyard.
Sharing a picture alongside Rashid Khan recreating the popular "fingers-near-ear" celebration, Gill captioned the post: "Pink city, blue result. Khamma Ghani" with blue heart emojis - a playful dig at Rajasthan Royals, who had turned out in their special all-pink kit for the game.
The post quickly went viral among IPL fans, especially after Gujarat completely dominated the contest at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Shubman Gill and Sudharsan set the tone in Jaipur
The social media celebration came after a near-perfect performance from Gujarat Titans, who produced one of their most complete displays of IPL 2026.
Gill led from the front with a fluent 84 off 44 balls, while Sai Sudharsan continued his remarkable consistency with 55 off 36 as GT piled up a massive 229/4 in Jaipur.
The opening pair once again exposed Rajasthan's bowling struggles, adding another huge partnership at the top and tearing into the Royals during the powerplay.
Gill, in particular, looked unstoppable once he settled in, effortlessly driving through the line and taking apart both pace and spin. His fifty came in just 30 balls before he accelerated further alongside Washington Sundar late in the innings.
Rashid Khan then dismantled RR's chase
If Gill controlled the game with the bat, Rashid completely killed it with the ball.
The Afghan spinner ripped through Rajasthan's middle order with figures of 4/22, producing one of his best spells of the season. Dhruv Jurel, Donovan Ferreira and Ravindra Jadeja all fell trying to take him on as RR's chase collapsed rapidly after an explosive powerplay.
Rajasthan had briefly threatened through 15-year-old sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who smashed 36 off just 16 deliveries yet again, but Mohammed Siraj's short-ball plan removed him before GT's bowlers took complete control.
Jason Holder and Kagiso Rabada added to the damage as Rajasthan were bundled out for 152 in only 16.3 overs.
GT surge into playoff race
The emphatic win pushed Gujarat Titans to second on the IPL 2026 points table, level with table-toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad on points.
More importantly, the result strengthened GT's net run-rate significantly as the playoff race enters its decisive phase.
For RR, meanwhile, the defeat exposed growing concerns around their bowling attack after conceding 225-plus for the second straight game.
But online, it was Gill's "Pink city, blue result" caption that stole the headlines - perfectly summing up a night where Gujarat Titans painted Jaipur blue.
