Labour MPs are set to demand Sir Keir Starmer's resignation date after the local elections. A group of backbenchers are planning to send an open letter to the Prime Minister calling for a timetable for his exit from No 10.
They are currently canvassing support for the challenge against Sir Keir, The Times reports. It comes as Labour is set to face a drubbing in this Thursday's crunch ballots, with losses to Reform UK and the Greens.
