Petronet LNG Ltd reported a strong improvement in profitability for the fourth quarter of FY26, driven by robust operational performance and significant margin expansion, despite a sequential decline in revenue.
The company posted a net profit of ₹1,338 crore in Q4FY26, marking a sharp 57.7% increase compared to ₹848.3 crore in the previous quarter. This surge in bottom-line growth reflects improved efficiency and better earnings visibility.
However, revenue from operations declined 15.4% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to ₹9,442 crore, compared to ₹11,163 crore in Q3FY26. The drop in revenue suggests softer volumes or pricing pressure during the quarter, even as profitability remained strong.
On the operational front, EBITDA rose 55.3% QoQ to ₹1,861.6 crore from ₹1,199 crore. The EBITDA margin saw a substantial expansion, coming in at 19.7% versus 10.7% in the previous quarter. This sharp improvement in margins highlights better cost management and stronger operating leverage.
