The credibility of the petition remains highly questionable. The campaign was hosted on a free AI-powered website creation service rather than established platforms like Change.org. Visitors could click a button to sign without any identity verification or limits on the number of signatures, making the surge impossible to independently verify.

However, the frustration is evident on X, where numerous Real Madrid fans posted images demanding his departure using the word “Fuera”, which means “get out” in Spanish, or “Mbappe out.” According to British media, this is the most intense backlash a Real Madrid player has faced since Gareth Bale’s final years at the Bernabeu.

Fans were particularly angered by his public appearance on a yacht during the club’s crisis. According to French newspaper The Teamseveral figures within the team were annoyed by the striker’s lack of discretion during such a sensitive period.
