LPG Cylinder Rates: In Delhi, the price of a standard 19-kilogram LPG cylinder has reached ₹3,071.50. Meanwhile, providing relief to domestic LPG consumers, no changes were made to the prices of household cylinders.
LPG Cylinder Rates Today (May 4): Energy prices have witnessed a massive surge due to the conflict in Iran and the resulting escalating tensions in the Middle East. Amidst this, LPG rates also saw a substantial hike last Friday. The price of a 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder was increased by ₹993, effective May 1. Consequently, the price of a standard 19-kilogram LPG cylinder in Delhi has risen to ₹3,071.50.
Conversely, offering relief to domestic LPG consumers, the prices for household cylinders remained unchanged. Additionally, the prices of 5-kilogram Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinders were also hiked by ₹261 per cylinder on the same day. This price hike is likely to result in increased operating costs for restaurants and small businesses across the country. Prior to this, the price of a 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder was raised by ₹196 in April. Before that, hikes of ₹114.50 and ₹28 were implemented on March 7 and March 1, respectively.
No Change in Domestic Fuel and ATF Prices
Domestic consumers have largely remained shielded from the recent surge in international fuel prices, as authorities have made no changes to the retail prices of petrol, diesel, and standard 14.2-kilogram domestic LPG cylinders. Indian Oil Corporation also confirmed that wholesale prices for diesel and Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF)—used for international airline operations—have been increased.
