A lightweight and powerful vacuum that shoppers have 'switched from Dyson' for is seeing a huge discount online. Now, the Shark PowerPro Cordless Stick Vacuumcosts £179.99, reduced from its full price of £249.99.

That's a £70 saving on a high spec vacuum cleaner that comes with anti-hair wrap technology - perfect for anyone with pets. It is a lightweight, cordless vacuum that has in-built floor detect technology, meaning it automatically adjusts the floorhead depending on the type of surface it's on.

The vacuum has an Anti-Allergen Complete Seal, which Shark says 'captures and traps over 99.9% of dust and allergens, keeping them out of the air you breathe'. All that, and it has a versatile wand that can be easily bent, helping customers clean up high, down low and in hard-to-reach places.

The Shark PowerPro Cordless Stick Vacuum has been awarded an average of 4.3 stars out of 5 from customers, with 88% of reviewers recommending it. One shopper said: "I brought this for my daughter, and her words were 'OMG mum, this is a game changer' She has carpet and wooden floor, and vacuuming is now a breeze. I am thinking about upgrading my current Shark to this one."

Another added: "Switched from Dyson! Great little vacuum cleaner. Couldn't believe how much dirt it got out of our carpet on its first use. Packs away neatly in a corner when not in use.
