Pune: A painful incident that puts humanity to shame has come to light from Pune district of Maharashtra. Here in Bhor tehsil, a 4 year old innocent girl, who had come to her grandmother’s house to spend summer holidays, was brutally murdered. In this case, the police has arrested 65-year-old accused Bhimrao Kamble. According to the information, around 2 pm on Friday afternoon, the accused coaxed the girl and took her to a stable near his house. There he committed a heinous crime with the innocent child and later killed him by crushing him with a stone to hide his identity.

When the girl did not return home for a long time, the family members became worried and they started searching for her. With the help of nearby people, a search was carried out in the stable, where the body of the girl was recovered. The family and village people were shocked to see this scene. The police immediately started investigation and scanned the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby. In one of the footage, the accused was seen taking the girl with him towards the stable. After this, without any delay the police took Bhimrao Kamble into custody and started interrogating him, after which he was arrested.
The case will be tried in fast track court: Devendra Fadnavis
This incident has spread anger across Maharashtra. NCP (SP) leader and former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh demanded death penalty for the accused and hearing the case in a fast track court. On this, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also took a strict stance and said that the government will prosecute this case in a fast track court and will demand death sentence for the accused.

NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule termed the incident as a blot on humanity and said that such criminals should get the harshest punishment. Shiv Sena’s national spokesperson Shaina NC said that this is not just a crime but an incident that shakes the sensibilities of the society.
There was a lot of anger in the village after the incident. Villagers protested by blocking the Mumbai-Bengaluru highway on Friday night. People demanded that the accused be given strict punishment as soon as possible. Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill assured the protesters that a chargesheet in the case would be filed within 15 days.
