Manipal: Man found dead after drowning in river while swimming

Manipal: The body of a man who reportedly drowned while swimming in a river was found on the riverbank at Holebagilu in Hergi village on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Sujith Kumar (42), a resident of Hergi village. He was working as an autorickshaw driver.
According to information, Sujith Kumar had left his house on April 26 morning for work related to his autorickshaw. Later in the afternoon, he went to the Holebagilu river in Hergi village for a swim. He is suspected to have accidentally drowned in the water.
His body was recovered from the riverbank on the morning of April 27.
A case has been registered at the Manipal police station.
