Surathkal: A youth died on the spot and three others were seriously injured in a collision between two two-wheelers on National Highway 66 near Supreme Hall at Tadambail on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Aghthir Hussain (25), a resident of 8th Block, Chokkabettu. He was working abroad and had returned home on leave last Friday.
According to police sources, Aghthir Hussain, along with Hafeez, was travelling on a two-wheeler from Mukka towards their house in Chokkabettu. At the same time, another two-wheeler carrying Raghavendra and Yashwanth, coming from the Surathkal side, turned towards Munchur near Tadambail. The accident occurred during this turn.
Hafeez (22), Raghavendra (24), and Yashwanth (26), all residents of Madhya Munchur, sustained serious injuries and are undergoing treatment at a hospital.
A case has been registered at the Mangaluru North Traffic Police Station.
