WhatsApp Notification Bubbles: WhatsApp is working on an extremely useful feature for its Android users. Soon, users will be able to chat directly via a floating bubble appearing on their screen without having to fully open the app. This feature will function similarly to Facebook Messenger's Chat Bubbles, making multitasking easier than ever before. If successful, this feature could completely transform the WhatsApp user experience.
**Chat Bubbles to Float on Screen**
According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp's new Notification Bubbles feature will display a small floating icon on the screen whenever a message is received. This bubble will feature the contact or group's profile picture alongside the WhatsApp logo. As soon as a user taps on it, a compact chat window will open. From there, it will be possible to read messages and reply instantly without opening the full app. Notably, this eliminates the need for users to repeatedly open WhatsApp, thereby saving time and streamlining conversations.
**An Experience Similar to Facebook Messenger**
This feature will be largely similar to Facebook Messenger's popular Chat Bubbles. Android users have long been requesting such a convenience. Notification Bubbles will make multitasking incredibly easy. For instance, if you are watching a video or browsing the internet and receive an urgent message, you will be able to reply to it right then and there. Users also have the option to disable this feature according to their preferences, ensuring that both privacy and control remain firmly in the user's hands.
**Major Changes Expected in WhatsApp's Design**
In addition to Notification Bubbles, WhatsApp is also preparing to make changes to its user interface. According to reports, the company may replace the "WhatsApp" text in the top bar with its official logo. This change is being hailed as the most significant visual update since 2013. Furthermore, a new dedicated section for Status updates may also be introduced within the top bar. Currently, the Notification Bubbles feature is designed to work on Android 11 and later versions. While a stable release date has not yet been announced, if the beta testing proves successful, the feature could soon become available to all Android users.
