What did Dhirendra Shastri say?
In a program organized in Nagpur, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri had claimed that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj considered Ramdas Swami as his guru. During his sermon, Mahant said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had decided to give up his power. “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was tired of the war and went to Ramdas Swami. He told him, ‘I do not want to fight anymore; please take over this crown and the reins of this kingdom.’ Ramdas Swami replied, ‘Very good.’ However, he then told Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, ‘It is the duty of a disciple to follow the orders of his guru; Therefore, now you will have to rule this kingdom on my behalf.”
