Several celebrities visited Asha Bhosle’s residence earlier in the day to pay their respects. Jackie Shroff was among them, and when photographers outside asked him to share his reaction to her passing, he did not hold back. The Jackie Shroff paparazzi reaction was sharp and heartfelt in equal measure. He told them plainly that asking someone how they feel when a mother figure is gone is not an appropriate question and that there are moments where the only right response is silence. He ended by telling them to simply go home. The Jackie Shroff viral video from outside her residence spread quickly, with most people online firmly on his side.

Details On Asha Bhosle’s Last RitesAt her home, Asha Bhosle was wrapped in the Indian tricolour as a mark of respect, with soldiers present to carry out the state honours. Asha Bhosle’s funeral in Mumbai drew a significant gathering of film industry names and political figures alike. Vicky Kaushal, Aamir Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Padmini Kolhapure, and Jackie Shroff were among those at Shivaji Park. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Supriya Sule, and Uddhav Thackeray, along with his family, were also present to pay their final respects.
Asha Bhosle’s state honours reflected the scale of her contribution to Indian music and culture. She was 92 when she passed away on 12 April 2026. The cause of death was due to cardiac and respiratory complications that led to multiple organ failure. She spent eight decades in the industry and recorded songs in multiple Indian languages. She had a voice that never really aged, and her songs will stay evergreen. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008 were among the honours she received, but honestly, no award quite captures what she meant to Indian music and the people who grew up listening to her.
