I'm A Celebrity favourite Beverley Callard sparked concerns from fans after she threatened to 'quit' the ITV show just hours into her stay in the Savannah Scrub. On Tuesday night (April 7), Ant and Dec returned to South Africa to share the latest developments coming from the main camp and the rival lodgings. It didn't take long before the Coronation Street stars' brewing feud with David Haye came up in conversation.
During the launch show, the award-winning boxer sent the soap star to the Savannah Scrub, which sparked backlash from several members of the camp. Shortly after moving into her new lodgings, Beverley threatened to "chin" David for his decision, and Ant and Dec even got involved, admitting: "Poor Bev".
Tonight, the soap siren regaled the story to campmates, Adam Thomas and Sean Walsh, who swiftly took her side. After hearing how David said Beverley hadn't "proved herself" in the gruelling Bushtucker Trial, the comic shouted: "That's brutal! Poor Beverley!" while Adam struggled to contain his laughter.
Things soon went from bad to worse for the Rovers' landlady, who struggled to adjust to the stark living conditions in the barely there campsite. To make matters worse, the camp was hit by thunder and lightning throughout the night, keeping many campmates awake.
The following morning, Beverley complained: "It was freezing cold, and I just thought, 'Oh, this is awful'. I'm going home. This is not what I expected." But she wasn't the only one who struggled, as both Ashley Roberts and Scarlett Moffatt, and Adam and Sean, also said they had a rough night's sleep.
The campmates aren't the only ones disappointed by the new series; viewers areleft fuming just minutes into the episode and threatening to switch off due to one campmate's behaviour. To no one's surprise, David riled viewers up minutes into the show after appearing frustrated in the camp and struggling with basic tasks like lighting a fire.
Thankfully, Mo Farah was around to save the day and get a fire lit for camp, but viewers couldn't help but call out the heavyweight sportsman for his ineptitude online. Taking to X - formerly known as Twitter - one user called out his bad attitude, posting: "Is it just me, or is David Haye coming across REALLY badly so far?!?!?"
Another joked: "David is just all talk, and it's annoying. Can't even light a fire. He's been so vocal about the team and somewhat useful". A third chimed in with: "Had enough of David already!" while a fourth echoed: "Who else is voting for David to be kicked out when you can?"
Another viewer threatened: "Actually don't know if I can watch David Haye on I'm A Celeb, he's insufferable, he needs to go, or I'm changing the channel. He's so arrogant." Fans will have to stay tuned to see if the pro boxer will eat his words in the next instalment. I'm A Celebrity... All Stars returns airs on weekdays from 9pm on ITV1 or catch up on ITVX.
