LPG Price Hike Today: A shock of inflation has come before Dussehra, as government oil companies have increased the price of commercial LPG cylinders. Oil marketing companies have increased the price of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 15.50, bringing the price of a 19-kg cylinder in Delhi to Rs 1595.50.
This is the first time this financial year that commercial LPG cylinder prices have been increased, after a six-month decline. These cylinders are used in restaurants, hotels, and wedding parties. The new prices came into effect on Wednesday. However, the price of a 14.2 kg domestic cylinder remains unchanged. In Delhi, it remains at ₹853.
How much has the price of an LPG cylinder increased?
In Delhi, a 19 kg LPG cylinder will be sold to consumers for ₹1595.50 from October 1st. Previously, it was available for ₹1580. The price in the national capital has increased by ₹15.50. In Kolkata, the same cylinder now costs ₹1700. In September, it was available for ₹1684, a ₹16 increase. In Mumbai, a commercial cylinder will be available for ₹1547 from Wednesday. Previously, it was available for ₹1531.50. The price of this LPG cylinder in Mumbai has increased by ₹15.50. In Chennai, the same cylinder will now be available for ₹1754. In September, it was available for ₹1738. A slight increase of ₹16 was also observed here.

The price of domestic LPG cylinders changed on April 8, 2025. On this day, the price increased by ₹50, making the new price in Delhi ₹853. Consumers have been charged the same rate since then. Previously, on August 30, 2023, the Central Government had reduced the price of domestic cylinders by ₹200, providing significant relief to the public.
