WhatsApp is working on a feature that will allow users to share the status update of any contact. Currently, this feature is in the development phase. It will be released with future updates. However, you will be able to use this feature only when the contact permits you to share the status. Read below for the details of the feature.
WAbeatinfo, a website that keeps an eye on the upcoming features of WhatsApp, has told about this feature. According to the report, the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.16.19 update available on Google Play Store has revealed that the company is working on a feature called Reshare Status Update.
A screenshot has been given in the report. This feature is clearly visible in the report. It will be brought with the upcoming updates in the future. A button is visible in the screenshot to share the status. As soon as you click on it, you will get the option to Continue. By clicking on it, you can reshare the status.
While resharing, you will see two messages. It is written in the photo that you can share someone's status. However, they must have their permission for this. Also, when you share the status with them, the contact will also get a notification for it.
Keep in mind that this feature is currently in the development phase. It will be rolled out for testing for beta users first with future updates. After that the feature will be rolled out for all users on the stable version. Apart from this, the company is working on many more features, some of which have been rolled out and many are still in the development phase.
