According to the latest report of the website, WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.9.6 update available on Google Play Store has revealed that the company is working on a new feature. With the help of this, now users will be able to message any contact directly from the status update.

According to the screenshot given in the report, some beta testers are going to get a new shortcut. With this, you can quickly open the chat of such contacts who have put status updates.

By simply tapping on the shortcut, you can immediately go to the chat window without any additional steps, making the conversation faster and easier. Earlier users had to leave the status update screen, then search for the name of the contact in the chat list, and manually open the chat. It takes some time. With this, you can easily message anyone.

However, this feature is currently in the development phase. It will be rolled out first for beta testers. After successful testing, this feature will be rolled out to all users on the Meta stable version. The company is bringing many more powerful features.
