Bank Holidays in February 2025 – Plan Your Banking Transactions Accordingly
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the bank holiday list for February 2025. Banks will remain closed for 8 days out of 28 due to festivals, regional observances, and weekends. While physical banking services will be unavailable on these days, customers can still use net banking, mobile banking, and UPI transactions for their financial needs.
Why Are Banks Closed on Different Days?- National Holidays: These holidays apply to all banks across India.
- Regional Holidays: Some holidays are applicable only in specific states, based on local festivals and cultural observances.
- Weekend Closures: Banks remain closed on all Sundays and on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.

📅 February 15, 2025 (Saturday): Lui-Ngai-Ni Festival – Banks closed in Imphal.
📅 February 19, 2025 (Wednesday): Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti – Banks closed in Belapur, Nagpur, and Mumbai.
📅 February 20, 2025 (Thursday): State Day – Banks closed in Aizawl and Itanagar.
📅 February 26, 2025 (Wednesday): Mahashivratri – Banks closed in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh), Hyderabad (Telangana), Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram.

Online Banking Services Will Remain ActiveEven though banks will be closed on these days, you can still perform various banking transactions using:
✅ Net Banking – Transfer funds, pay bills, and check account details.
✅ Mobile Banking – Use bank apps for instant transactions.
✅ UPI Payments – Make seamless transactions via Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.
✅ ATM Services – Withdraw and deposit cash as needed.
