On November 27, accountant Manish Chand Kashyap was kidnapped and murdered in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. On Sunday, police recovered the skeleton of Manish Kashyap from a drain, which was found at the behest of accused Awadhesh Kashyap alias Omveer. According to the police, the accused had kidnapped Manish to collect ransom money.

Police say that the accused Awadhesh and his relative Suraj, along with Nanhe, had kidnapped Manish by calling him from home on the pretext of giving him alcohol. Later, Manish was murdered due to non-payment of ransom money. Police have recovered Manish's belongings, documents and the car used in the incident from the accused. The accused admitted that after the murder of Manish, he used to read newspapers every day, so that no clue could be found.

If there was no place to keep it, it was killed.

Police said that Awadhesh Kashyap knew accountant Manish Kashyap for the last 6 months, and both of them often drank alcohol together. After the kidnapping, he could not find any place to keep Manish, due to which he strangulated Manish to death with a muffler and threw the body in the drain.

Land scam angle also investigated

Manish Kashyap's family members are linking this murder to the land scam. He says that Manish Kashyap was about to expose the government land scam, and that is why he was murdered. They are not satisfied with the revelations made by the police and are demanding a DNA test.

Manish Kashyap's body was torn apart by wild dogs, and police found only his skull and bones. According to Manish Kashyap's family, after his father's death in 2012, Manish got the job on the basis of deceased dependent. Manish has two small children, which include a 5 year old son and a one and a half year old daughter.

Police formed four teams to solve this case and reached the accused through call details. After this Awadhesh was arrested and the search for other accused is going on.
