Bank approval letters are given to Madhubani beneficiaries by Nirmala Sitharaman

India, New Delhi, November 30: During the Credit Outreach Program in Madhubani, Bihar, Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday gave bank approval letters to recipients of several Central Government programs.

More than 50,000 recipients received loans totaling Rs 1,121 crore during the Credit Outreach, according to a social media post from Nirmala Sitharaman’s office.

According to the article, PM MUDRA, PMEGP, Kisan Credit Card (Crop), KCC (Animal Husbandry & Fisheries), Stand Up India, PM-SVANidhi, PM Vishwakarma, Retail, MSMEs, SHGs, Agricultural loans, etc. are among the schemes under which the approval letters have been given.

During the Credit Outreach Program in Madhubani, Bihar, the Union Finance Minister gave copies of the Indian Constitution in both Sanskrit and Maithili, which were just published on Samvidhan Diwas, to a variety of individuals.

During the session, Sitharaman also went to the booths and spoke with the owners of those stalls who had benefitted from different federal and state government programs.

Participating at the occasion were Member of Parliament Sanjay Kumar Jha and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.

Sitharaman presided over a credit outreach event in Darbhanga, Bihar, on Friday. According to a Ministry of Finance official release, 49,137 recipients received loans totaling Rs1,388 crore from different banks throughout the program.

Samrat Choudhary, the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, and Chirag Paswan, the Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, were also present.

Sitharaman and other dignitaries toured around 25 booths that featured a range of regional goods and handicrafts made by business owners with bank and NABARD funding.

As part of CSR efforts, the Union Finance Minister also gave tricycles to those with disabilities and flagged off an ambulance.

The announcement said that NABARD has approved more than Rs74 crore for a number of rural road projects. Additionally, banks and SIDBI provided help via CSR initiatives to upgrade school facilities, especially in females’ schools.

Samrat Choudhary commended the Prime Minister and Sitharaman’s efforts to further the region’s economic growth, while Chirag Paswan complimented the Union Finance Minister for coming to Darbhanga.

Sitharaman opened 25 BC Maxx Centers of the Central Bank of India and five State Bank of India branches on the occasion.
