There is going to be a bank holiday in many states on the occasion of Christmas celebration on 26th December. Banks may remain closed on 27th December also due to Christmas celebrations. Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on December 30 on the occasion of U Kiang Nangbah. Banks may remain closed in Mizoram and Sikkim on 31st December due to New Year Eve and Losong/Namsung.

Due to 5 Sundays in the month of December, there will be weekly holidays on 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 December. Also, due to December 14, 18 being second and fourth Saturday, bank transactions are going to remain closed.
