How this change is happening
With the change of time, there has been a major change in the banking system. Digital banking has become an essential part of people's lives. However, with this increase in transactions, digital fraud has grown exponentially. Major banks in the country have warned their customers given the rising incidence of bank fraud.
State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest public sector bank, has warned customers in the wake of rising incidents of fraud. SBI advises customers to be cautious in the process of receiving SBI Reward Points through the Android Application Package (APK).
Key said many such cases of State Bank banking frauds have come to light recently. Hackers send links to consumers asking them to download third-party mobile applications. Through this, they commit banking fraud by stealing the personal information of customers. While sharing this information on their official Twitter handle, SBI said, beware of fraudsters.
It has been observed that many fraudsters are luring people to give SBI Reward Points by sending links to APKs through SMS and WhatsApp. Note that SBI does not send links to such APKs to customers. Avoid clicking on such links and protect yourself from banking fraud.

ICICI Bank has given these tips to its customers
Apart from State Bank, ICICI Bank has also advised customers not to download APK files without verification. The bank also said that the bank does not ask any customer to download any app to update KYC.
Axis Bank advises
Large private sector bank Axis Bank has also warned its customers to protect themselves from investment and task-based frauds. The bank advised customers not to share their information or financial details.
PNB has advised
the public sector bank i.e. Punjab National Bank has asked its customers to be safe from fake web links. The bank advises its customers not to click on any unknown links.
