LPG Cylinder News: The news is related to LPG consumers. Now all categories of LPG gas connection holders will have to get e-KYC (biometric verification). At present its last date has not been fixed, but gas agency operators have been instructed to get e-KYC done for their LPG gas connection holders soon.

Earlier e-KYC was necessary for Ujjwala and BPL gas connection holders. The Central Petroleum Ministry has instructed the gas companies to get e-KYC done for each consumer by their distributors across the country. For now, consumers have been asked to be made aware of this. In this regard, alert messages are now being sent to consumers through MMS.
Oil companies believe that due to the survey not being conducted for a long time, many consumers are facing problems in getting subsidies. Names of many dead people have also not been removed from the list. The aim of the companies is believed to be to remove bogus consumers from the list. In this, five to ten percent of consumers may be affected. So that domestic and commercial consumers can be identified.
Also, the connections of those who have left the district can be disconnected, and those who have died will be given connections in the name of their heirs. For e-KYC, the concerned connection holder will have to come to the gas agency. For this, the blue diary of the gas connection, and the Aadhaar card along with biometric eyes and thumb will be scanned. Now e-KYC has been made mandatory for all consumers.
