Under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is moving towards monitoring information to children in council schools, making school management and educational system more systematic and accountable. In this sequence, a budget of Rs 6.55 crore has been fixed for the year 2026-27 for the effective operation and use of MIS (U-Dias Plus) and child tracking system. Director General, School Education and State Project Director Monica Rani has issued guidelines to all the District Basic Education Officers regarding the use and monitoring of funds.
School management will be more accountable
Let it be known that through this system, the Yogi government is strengthening the use of digital systems to make school data more organized, monitoring of children's educational progress more effective and school management more accountable. As per the instructions, a total amount of Rs 655.01 lakh has been earmarked. This includes Rs 262.00 lakh for MIS (U-Dias Plus) and Rs 393.01 lakh for Child Tracking System.
Emphasis on strengthening the system
This amount will be spent on the activities determined through SMC at the school level. In the instructions, collection and use of data to schools and students on U-DISE Plus has been considered important. Besides, emphasis has been laid on strengthening the system of monitoring the educational status of children through child tracking system. Instructions have also been given in the letter to establish coordination between Apar ID and Child Tracking System, so that the educational information of each student can be systematically tracked with his unique identity.
Instructions to ensure monitoring
In the instructions, responsibilities have been fixed for monitoring the utilization of funds from the district level to the school level. District Basic Education Officer has been instructed to review the progress of expenditure at the SMC level and ensure monitoring on the basis of information available on the prescribed portal. Minister of State (Independent Charge), Basic Education, Sandeep Singh said that the Yogi government is making the school system more transparent and accountable and ensuring effective monitoring of the educational progress of every child. MIS and child tracking system will give new strength to better use of information to children.
Director General, School Education Monica Rani said that effective use of MIS, U-Dias Plus and Child Tracking System should be ensured. By systematically linking the information of students through Apar ID, transparent utilization of the sanctioned funds at the SMC level for the prescribed purpose and regular monitoring should be ensured.
