Mark Chapman opts for NZ casual contract ahead of BBL

Mark Chapman has opted for a casual contract with New Zealand Cricket (NZC) for the 2026-27 season. The move will allow him to participate in the 2026-27 Big Bash League (BBL).
Despite opting out of a central contract, Chapman will be available for New Zealand's upcoming home series against India. He is one of five players on similar casual contracts, including Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson, Adam Milne, and Tim Seifert.
