Tiafoe completes his own comeback
Michelsen entered the quarterfinal as the only man who had not lost a set during the tournament. He served for the match at 5-4 in the third set but could not finish the victory.
Tiafoe recovered and later came back from a 3-0 deficit in the fifth set. The win sent him into his third US Open semifinal and will return him to the top 10 in the next rankings.
