- First, grind the chocolate biscuits in a mixer and grind them to a soft crumb. Add cocoa powder and milk powder to it and mix all the ingredients well.
- Now add condensed milk to this mixture. Then add milk little by little and knead the mixture. Do not add too much milk, as the mixture may become too sticky.
- Add ghee, cardamom powder and finely chopped cashew-almonds to the mixture and mix well again. The mixture should be firm but easily mouldable.
- Make small balls of the same size of the prepared mixture. If the modak mold is lightly greased, the modaks can be easily removed.
- Place one ball in the modka mold and press lightly with your hands so that the mixture fits well on all sides of the mold. Then open the mold and take out the modak separately.
- Prepare all the modaks of the remaining mixture in the same manner. If desired, the prepared modaks can be decorated with cashew-almond slices or small pieces of chocolate.
- Let the prepared chocolate modak set in the fridge for some time. Then offer this delicious Modak to Ganapati Bappa.
