Download E-PAN Card Online: The 10-digit alphanumeric PAN (Permanent Account Number) card issued by the Income Tax Department is an essential document for all financial transactions, opening bank accounts, and filing Income Tax Returns (ITR).

People often forget to carry their physical plastic PAN card or worry about losing it. In such situations, the e-PAN card proves extremely useful. It is a valid government-issued digital document that you can securely store on your mobile phone or laptop.

Keep these details handy before downloading the e-PAN card:
PAN card number, Aadhaar card, date of birth, and registered mobile number.

How to download the e-PAN card:
Visit the official portal: Open the official NSDL e-PAN download portal. Enter the required information: Enter your PAN number, Aadhaar number, and month and year of birth in the form displayed on the screen. Enter the CAPTCHA and select OTP: Fill in the CAPTCHA code after accepting the terms and conditions. Click on 'Generate OTP'. Enter the 6-digit OTP received on your registered mobile number and click the 'Validate' button. Once the OTP is verified, a new payment window will open. 

You can choose a payment method—such as debit card, credit card, UPI, or net banking—according to your convenience. You will need to pay a nominal fee of ₹8.26 online for the e-PAN download service. After a successful payment, the 'Download e-PAN PDF' option will appear. Click on 'Download e-PAN PDF' to save your password-protected e-PAN card to your device.

By making a one-time payment of just ₹8.26, you can download your e-PAN card multiple times in the future; the Income Tax Department has not set a limit on this. However, if you wish to have a plastic PAN card delivered to your home address instead of a digital copy, you will be required to pay a fee of ₹50.
