The road near Shitala Mata Temple in Gurugram is knee-deep in water. Waterlogging was seen in South Moti Bagh Metro Station, Akbar Road, Mahipalpur, Basant Gaon and Subroto Park area in Delhi. Traffic slowed down due to heavy rain and waterlogging at many places. The weather changed after heavy rains in Noida and Ghaziabad also.

The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in most areas, lightning and heavy rain at some places between 5 pm and 8 pm. The department said that during the next three hours, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall at most places, while at some places there may be heavy rainfall of 50 to 100 mm. During this period, there can be lightning along with strong winds blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.

Roads leading to Terminal-2 and Terminal-3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport were flooded following heavy rain on Friday afternoon and evening. Delhi International Airport Limited said heavy rain in the afternoon led to water logging in the terminal's approach roads and outside areas. The accumulated water was removed within some time.

Mansi, a passenger, said that I have never seen such a sight before. There is a lot of water here. I have been standing here for about half an hour. I am waiting for the water level to go down a bit so that I can proceed towards the arrival gate.

9 flights diverted due to bad weather

Meanwhile, due to heavy rain and bad weather, 9 flights had to be diverted at Delhi Airport. According to officials, the flight was diverted to other airports between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm. According to flight tracking website 'Flightradar24', more than 400 flights were delayed at Delhi airport on Friday.
