Technology Desk: Smartphone company Tecno has launched the new Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition in collaboration with supercar brand Tonino Lamborghini. This is the first smartphone partnership of both the companies. The phone has been given a premium and sporty design. Black and red color theme is seen in it.
The design of the phone is special
The new limited edition phone has been introduced in Tonino Lamborghini Black color. Pulse Line design with hexagon pattern has been given on its back panel. Tonino Lamborghini's metallic logo is also found at the back. A customized 'L' signature has been given on the Alive Matrix Display of the phone. This gives it a different look from the normal Pova 8 Pro 5G.
144Hz AMOLED display
The phone has a 6.78 inch HyperLux AMOLED display. Its resolution is 1,208×2,644 pixels and it supports 144Hz refresh rate. According to the company, the peak brightness of the screen is up to 4,500 nits. The pixel density of the display is 429ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i has been provided for its protection.
Powerful processor and storage
For performance, the phone has been provided with MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G processor. It has up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The phone also has RAM Expansion feature, with the help of which the total memory can be increased up to 24GB. This smartphone runs on HiOS 16 based on Android 16. Tecno says the phone will get two major Android OS updates and three years of security updates.
50MP camera and OIS
Dual camera setup has been provided at the back of the phone for photography. It has a 50MP Sony LYT-700C primary camera, which supports OIS. An 8MP ultra-wide camera is available with it. The phone has a 13MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
6500mAh large battery
Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition has a 6500mAh battery. It supports 45W fast charging. For connectivity, the phone has options like 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and USB Type-C. An in-display fingerprint sensor is also provided in the phone.
Price and sales information
Tecno has not yet given information about the price and sale date of this limited edition phone. It has been launched in three variants:
8GB RAM + 256GB storage
12GB RAM + 256GB storage
12GB RAM + 512GB storage
For comparison, the regular Pova 8 Pro 5G price in India starts at ₹49,999.
