Bangladeshi PM Tariq Rahman called Sheikh Hasina 'Kans', congratulated Hindus on Janmashtami

New Delhi: Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has targeted Sheikh Hasina in a program organized on the occasion of Janmashtami. Comparing the ousted PM of Bangladesh with the cruel King Kansa of Mathura, he said that a ruler like Kansa kept the people of Bangladesh away from their democratic rights for one and a half decade. After this everyone came together and overthrew the 'fascist regime like Kansa'. Let us tell you, in this program organized in the capital Dhaka, the Bangladeshi PM met Hindu priests and also distributed honorarium money to other people of the community.

According to Bangladeshi media reports, PM Tariq was made the special guest in the program organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Bangladesh Government and Hindu Religious Welfare Trust. On Thursday, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman walked to Osmania Memorial Auditorium to participate in the program organized on Janmashtami. After participating in this event, Tariq congratulated the people following Hinduism around the world. He said, “I extend my warm wishes and greetings to all the Hindus and people of Sanatan Dharma in Bangladesh and around the world on the occasion of Janmashtami.”

Targeting Sheikh Hasina without naming her

The Prime Minister of Bangladesh targeted Sheikh Hasina without taking her name. He mentioned the story of the birth of Lord Krishna. He said that Shri Krishna was born in Mathura about 5000 years ago. At that time Mathura was ruled by the tyrannical king Kansa. Those who believe in Hinduism believe that Shri Krishna ultimately destroyed evil by defeating Kansa and established religion.

Comparing the story of Lord Krishna with the political situation of Bangladesh, Tarique Rahman targeted Sheikh Hasina without taking her name. He said that a ruler like Kansa has ruled Bangladesh for one and a half decade. Kept people away from their democratic rights. After this, people from different political and social backgrounds united and made sacrifices to topple that “Kansas-like fascist” regime. Tarique Rahman said that Bangladesh is now on the path to democracy again. With an improving economy, fair administration and better law and order, now is the time to rebuild the country.”
