Kanker. The terror of wild animals bears continues in village Baratola under Halba Chowki area of the district. Last night around 12:30, a young man passing through the road was attacked by a group of bears. A young man was seriously injured in the attack.
According to the information received, Mithlesh Gangber, a resident of Jepara, was passing through Baratola area late at night. Meanwhile, suddenly a group of bears attacked him. The young man got injured due to the bear attack and started calling for help. Hearing the young man’s voice, nearby villagers reached the spot and somehow saved him from the bears.
After this, the injured youth was taken to the district hospital with the help of Sanjeevani 108 ambulance, where his treatment is going on. There is panic among the villagers after the incident. Regarding the continuous presence of bears in the area, the villagers have demanded the Forest Department to increase vigilance and take necessary steps for the safety of the people.
