Manchester United have temporarily parted ways with another of their promising young players.
Jacob Devaney has completed a loan move to Hibernian, while Ethan Wheatley has joined Lincoln City on loan until the end of the season.
Jayce Fitzgerald also finalised his temporary transfer to Rotherham United earlier today.
It was Dan Gore’s turn on Tuesday, with the midfielder completing a loan move to Luton Town.
Gore enjoyed an excellent spell at Rotherham last season and will be aiming to make another strong impression in League One.
Manchester United’s official website said: “Manchester United midfielder Dan Gore has agreed to join Luton Town on loan until the end of the 2026/27 season, subject to registration.”
The club also sent their best wishes to the young midfielder for the season ahead.
Luton Town were clearly pleased to bring in Gore and said on their official website: “we are delighted to announce our seventh signing of the summer window with the arrival of Manchester United midfielder Dan Gore on a season-long loan, with a conditional option to buy.”
Luton boss Jack Wilshere explained what attracted his side to the United youngster, saying: “he’s got something a little bit different.”
The former Arsenal player added: “he’s aggressive in duels. He can carry the ball. He’s got personality on the pitch. He loves a tackle, and he’s someone that we kept our eye on in the second game up there.”
Gore also expressed his happiness over the move, saying: “I’m buzzing to get it done. I know Luton is a big club, and I like the style that Jack is trying to play.”
The youngster was also eager to point out that Luton’s possession-based approach should suit him perfectly because of the grounding he received in Manchester United’s academy.
