New Delhi: As soon as the conch shells and bells will ring in the temples on the night of 4th September and the news of the birth of Banke Bihari will reach every house, the preparations for decorating Thakurji's bhog plate will also be at its last stage. This festival of Janmashtami is not limited to just fasting, but also brings with it the tradition of making something sweet and pleasant for Laddu-Gopal and when it comes to sweets made of milk and cream, Kanha's thali is considered incomplete without it. This sweet made with such a simple method will make this Janmashtami even more special.
Quick no-cook recipes
If you are feeling short of time in the hustle and bustle of puja, then there is a recipe which is not only ready in a few minutes but also does not require lighting the stove.
Deeksha recently shared this recipe of Malai Laddu, which has gained immense popularity among home cooks. This combination of ingredients like fresh coconut, soft paneer, cashew nuts and milk powder not only tastes amazing.
list of ingredients
For this sweet, one cup fresh coconut, one and a half cup fresh paneer, one and a half cup cashew nuts, one and a half cup milk powder, quarter cup powdered sugar and one and a half teaspoon cardamom powder are enough. For decoration, keep saffron soaked in milk and finely chopped pistachios, these give the laddus a festive look. First of all, remove the upper black peel of the coconut and cut its white pulp into small pieces, while mash the paneer with your hands. Now put cashew nuts, milk powder, sugar and cardamom powder in a blender and grind them together. The moisture of the ingredients themselves gives the mixture the consistency of a soft dough, however, if the texture seems dry, a spoonful of milk can be added.
moment of serving bhog
After the mixture is ready, apply light ghee on the palms and make laddus of desired size and decorate each laddu with saffron-milk and pistachios. Let them cool for some time in the refrigerator and then after the birth of Bal Gopal at midnight, offer this food to him first, and then distribute the prasad among the family and guests. This sweet made with such a simple method will make this Janmashtami even more special.
